Concerts:
Every student is required to attend concerts and dress rehearsals. All dress rehearsals and concerts will be held at RDPC in the Letkemann Theatre. If you have a reasonable conflict and cannot make it to the concert, please let me know as soon as possible so we can work out a make-up assignment for you to do. If you are sick the day of a concert, please have your parent or guardian call the school and email me so I know that you will be unable to participate in the concert due to illness. If you miss a concert without a reasonable conflict or illness, you will receive a 0 for that concert assessment. Reflections will be done throughout the year and after concerts.
In past years, students have expressed difficulty getting together as a full choir for concerts when they only have the opportunity to rehearse with the choir students that attend their school. Because of this, I have scheduled 8 full choir rehearsals throughout this school year. These rehearsals will typically take place on the last Thursday of each month.
Performance Dates:
Winter Choral & Jazz Concert: December 14th at 7:00 pm
Spring Concert: April 24th at 7:00 pm
Year End Jr. Concert: June 11th at 7:00 pm
Mark Break Down:
Rehearsal Skills and Preparation 60%
Performances and Singing Assessments 20%
Monthly Rehearsals 10%
Reflections/Classwork 10%
